Here are this month’s opportunities to get involved with the MI’s workforce initiatives.
- Heroes MAKE America for Manufacturers: The Heroes MAKE America team hosts the bi-monthly Manufacturer Information Sessions that provide an overview of the Heroes MAKE America initiative, its training and certification curriculum, the best ways for companies to get involved and connect with veterans and military spouses and resources to help prepare to recruit, hire, and retain this talent. The next session will take place on March 25 at 3:15 pm EST. Register.
- MFG Day 2024: Getting Started: On April 4, the MI team will host a webinar to provide ideas and recommendations on how your organization can create an effective plan to attract the next generation of manufacturing workers. Manufacturing Day, aka MFG Day, is our industry’s greatest annual opportunity to demonstrate the realities of careers in modern manufacturing to students, parents, educators and other career mentors through industry-hosted events. MFG Day 2024 will be celebrated nationally on Friday, October 4. This webinar is recommended for all manufacturers, schools, associations, economic development groups, workforce boards, community organizations, and any other industry partners with a variety of experience – from those just discovering MFG Day to previous MFG Day event hosts who want a refresher.
