Workforce in Focus

What We’re Reading

Leaders can engage employees more effectively by creating a culture of shared ownership, according to Gallup.

The trick to engagement: Leaders can gain employee buy-in by valuing and responding to employee input, delegating decision-making when appropriate and providing employees at all levels with insight into company strategy, performance and achievements.

The benefits: Focusing on building relationships between leaders and employees helps employees feel a sense of connection to the company’s success. This leads to enthusiasm and commitment, resulting not only in higher retention rates, but more successful recruitment

  • Engaged employees are 50% less likely to be watching for or actively seeking a job.

  • They are also 7x more likely to “strongly agree” that they would recommend their workplace as a great place to work.

  •  97% of employees who feel a strong sense of engagement say they plan to stay with their company.
