Last week the MI convened our latest Solutions Series virtual event featuring experts from Timken who shared actionable strategies for rethinking hiring to build a stronger, more resilient production workforce. From fresh approaches to job postings and ways to attract overlooked talent pools, to crafting stories candidates can relate to and making first impressions that matter, Timken offered concrete examples of what has worked for them and how others can put those ideas into practice.

Attendees walked away with:

  • Ideas they can implement immediately — like reworking job postings to invite more candidates

  • Strategies for reaching new talent pipelines — including veteran and community-based networks

  • Tips for making candidates feel seen, valued and supported from the first interaction

The takeaway? You don’t have to launch a big initiative to make an impact. Sometimes, a shift in language, a new partnership, or a small change to your hiring process can open doors to candidates you’ve been missing all along.
