STEP Ahead Mentorship Program
Mentorship is one of the most effective strategies for supporting employee development and driving a sense of belonging. Both are key to reducing turnover and boosting morale. Yet many companies lack structured mentorship programs that are scalable and aligned with business goals.
The Manufacturing Institute provides direct support to manufacturers looking to build or strengthen mentorship efforts by offering full program design and rollout support. We also operate our own national mentorship program that connects women and allies across companies, geographies and career levels.

The STEP Ahead Mentorship Program is now accepting applications for its next cohort. We are seeking both mentors and mentees across all career levels for this 6-month experience designed to build meaningful connections, strengthen leadership and support career growth in manufacturing.
Running from July through December 2026, the program creates space for practical guidance, honest conversation and long-term relationship building.
