Here are this month’s opportunities to get involved with the MI’s workforce initiatives.
- The Heroes MAKE America team hosts a bi-monthly Manufacturer Information Session that provides an overview of the Heroes MAKE America initiative, its training and certification curriculum, the best ways for companies to get involved and connect with veterans and military spouses and resources to help prepare to recruit, hire, and retain this talent. The next session will take place on January 29.
- Do you work with previously incarcerated individuals and organizations that support them, or know someone who does? Invite them to join us for the Deep Dive: How Workforce Boards Can Help Communities Start a Second Chance Hiring Program on January 30. Attendees will hear how the Manufacturing Institute has identified best practices by working with employers, community partners and experts in the field to help workforce board professionals get started in their own communities.
