Andrew Quinn
With over 25 years of human resource experience in the manufacturing industry, Andy Quinn is a seasoned HR professional, who specializes in Employee Engagement and Relations, Recruitment & Retention, Organizational Design & Effectiveness as well as Workforce Development.
Andy currently serves as Senior Director of Employee Experience & Workforce Development for Novelis – a leading producer of flat-rolled aluminum products and one of the world’s largest recyclers of aluminum. In this role, Andy leads the HR service delivery Center of Excellence and external talent acquisition strategy for all US and Canada Novelis sites. Andy also provides HR leadership for five of Novelis’ manufacturing facilities in the US and Canada. Prior to joining Novelis in 2005, Andy led Labor Relations and negotiation activities for Magna Powertrain New Process Gear – a 4,000+ person manufacturing facility in Central New York.
With extensive experience in both unionized and non-unionized manufacturing environments, Andy works across multiple functions and organizations to identify innovative solutions to the evolving workforce demands of the manufacturing industry. He has also served as a subject matter expert in the development of key inter-industry workforce initiatives, most notably, the New York State Pathways in Technology (P-TECH) program – a public-private partnership that prepares students for high-skills jobs of the future in technology, manufacturing, healthcare and finance.
While he has dedicated his career to creating innovative solutions to support people, culture, and talent, Andy’s greatest pride is his role as a devoted husband and loving father. On the weekends, Andy and his wife, Kristine, can be found on the sidelines of the MIT lacrosse field cheering on their son, Ryan, or enjoying the picturesque Hamilton College campus with their daughter, Julia.
