Ashlynn Read

Associate Director, FAME USA

Ashlynn Read is the Associate Director, FAME USA at the Manufacturing Institute, the non-profit affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers. In her current role, Ashlynn supports the Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) chapters nationwide by offering leadership and guidance to existing and developing chapters, developing program materials and resources, and sharing best practices for program integrity and reliability.

Prior to joining the Institute, Ashlynn was the Industry and Workforce Development Manager for the Seguin Economic Development Corporation, where she led the Business Retention & Expansion Program focusing on retaining and expanding local primary job creating companies through a variety of business support initiatives including expansion or relocation of facilities, workforce and training needs, and facility and operation needs. In addition to the Business Retention & Expansion Program, Ashlynn also led the Seguin EDC’s Workforce Development Efforts partnering with local industry, area school districts and post-secondary schools to keep area students local after graduation by providing opportunities for students to learn about local career opportunities, while in turn, developing a strong, local workforce.

Ashlynn currently resides in Seguin, Texas with her husband, Dustin and two children, Violet and Archer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Interested in many areas of expertise, Ashlynn is also a recent graduate of the Oklahoma University Economic Development Institute (OUEDI).
