Bill Whaley

Workforce Partnership Principal Specialist, Honda

Bill Whaley is a workforce partnership principal specialist for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (AHM), where he leads workforce partnerships for the southern U.S. region. Whaley has a diverse background built from the engine assembly, weld, and frame assembly departments, where he was focused on capital expense, project management, and integration. He became involved with workforce development activities in 2022. He has been with Honda since 2012. 

Whaley holds a dual B.S. in Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems and Electronics Technology from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Ala. He also received his M.S. degree in Manufacturing Systems Technology from Jacksonville State University and is currently a PhD student in Engineering with a concentration on Education at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss. He serves on the Advisory Council for Jacksonville State University’s Applied Engineering department and volunteers weekly with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a nonprofit organization that provide beds to local communities in need. Whaley is passionate about continuous improvement, learning new skills, and providing opportunities to others.
