Katherine Harker

Katie Harker is the Senior Manager and Operations Team Lead at the Manufacturing Institute, the workforce development and education partner of the National Association of Manufacturers. In her current role, Katie leads the institute’s growing operations team, works collaboratively with the program leads to execute external facing events, and builds and strengthens internal systems to support the entire MI team.

Katie joined the MI in July 2021 as the Associate, Operations Support. Prior to joining the institute, Katherine served as Operations and Research Coordinator for Young People For, a social justice incubator focused on providing lifelong leadership training to young people historically left out of opportunity. While at Young People For (YP4), she lead the creation of YP4’s first Alumni Portal website and partnership tracking system. Prior to Young People For, she worked at the Barbara Lee Family Foundation and at the New England Council, the nation’s oldest regional business organization.

Originally from Long Island, NY, Ms. Harker spent much of her life moving around and has lived in Los Angeles, CA; Singapore; London, UK; Boston, MA; Arlington, VA; and currently Brooklyn, NY. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Communications with minors in International Affairs and Law & Public Policy from Northeastern University.
