Mark Rayfield
Mark Rayfield is the President & CEO of Saint-Gobain North America and CertainTeed, Saint-Gobain’s leading brand of building materials for commercial and residential construction in the U.S. and Canada. As CEO, Mark ensures Saint-Gobain’s strategic vision to be the leader in light and sustainable construction is embedded in the businesses operating plans, with a focus on innovation and customer-centric solutions that deliver on product performance and sustainability requirements. He has held this position since 2019, leading a region of over 145 manufacturing facilities and 18,000 employees across the United States and Canada.
Under Mark’s leadership, Saint-Gobain North America has successfully completed several major acquisitions that will help the business decarbonize the construction industry and meet its purpose of Making the World a Better Home. These include the acquisitions of Kaycan and GCP Applied Technologies in 2022, and Chryso in 2021.
In addition, with a global commitment of carbon neutrality by 2050, Mark has led the North America team towards meetings its sustainability goals through major virtual power purchase agreements, investment support to pilot clean energy solutions like the electrification of the company’s Montreal Gypsum facility, and the start of the company’s Circular Economy Solutions business.
Mark has served Saint-Gobain globally for nearly 25 years, holding several positions including Vice President of North American Abrasives and CEO of Building Distribution in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution from Clarkson University.
