Vanessa Rising

Vanessa has been with Novonesis for 27 years where she has gained extensive experience across many functions and geographies. In 2022, Vanessa was appointed as the General Manager and the Director of Manufacturing at the Blair, Nebraska facilities.

Before taking on the current role, Vanessa resided in North Carolina and served as the Director of Technical Service for North and Central America in the Consumer BioSolutions division, where her teams worked with customers to integrate enzymes and microbes into products and processes in the Food & Beverage and Household Care Industries.  The first 15 years at Novozymes, Vanessa was in quality and manufacturing, culminating with a 2 year expat to Denmark sitting on the global product management team where she represented manufacturing for the Food and Beverage industries.

Vanessa attended North Carolina State University and earned a BS in Food Science and a Master’s in Microbiology.  She is a member of the BioNebraska Fermentation Advisory Committee, the Nebraska Manufacturing Advisory Council, and the Nebraska Chapter of Women in Manufacturing.
