Heroes MAKE America Information Session for Military Community Members
An overview for transitioning service members, veterans, National Guard members, reservists and military spouses to learn how to participate.
On-the-job learning experiences provide employers the opportunity to explore talent, to benefit from different and developing skill sets and to train candidates for future positions. They also allow students the opportunity to gain experience with manufacturing processes and safety concepts, industrial work environments, and professional cultures–all of which will help them make more informed decisions about their future career pathway.
This webinar, conducted in partnership with Fisher Phillips, will dive into federal labor laws relative to youth under the age of 18, to help manufacturers understand how they can safely welcome youth into their facilities and provide them with hands-on work experience in a manufacturing environment.
This session is intended for all manufacturers across the U.S. who are interested in offering work-based learning opportunities to students under the age of 18. This could include job shadowing, high school internships, apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships, summer employment, or any other employment circumstances.
