Victoria Bloom

Chief Economist

Victoria is the chief economist for the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), where she serves as the NAM’s economic forecaster and spokesperson. In addition, she is the head of research at the Manufacturing Institute, which includes working with partners at internationally recognized consulting firms to produce studies on the key workforce and competitiveness issues facing the manufacturing sector.

Prior to joining the NAM and MI, Victoria spent the last seven years working on Capitol Hill and most recently was the economist for the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee’s Republican staff. In that role, she served as the lead economic and budgetary advisor to the Ranking Member and the minority committee staff. Prior to working on Capitol Hill, Victoria was a graduate fellow at the Mercatus Center, a university-based research center at George Mason University.

Victoria received her bachelor’s degree in economics from Louisiana State University and master’s degree in the same from George Mason University. Victoria is originally from Birmingham, AL, but currently resides in Arlington, VA with her husband and daughter.
