What You’ll Learn

We invite you to join us for The Manufacturing Institute Solution Series: Recruitment, a new workshop series focused on one of the top issues facing manufacturers: recruitment. The MI’s Solution Series will be a results-oriented workshop for an exclusive group of manufacturing leaders and will equip you with real action items you can begin to implement immediately to recruit entry level workers.

Who Should Attend

Recruitment strategies require collaboration across your organization. For that reason, this workshop recommends your company to send up to two leaders, such as your talent acquisition, HR, community partnerships, or others responsible for building a talent pipeline to the event.

Why You Should Attend

Have you ever had a harder time recruiting employees than you are right now? In October 2022, there were nearly 746,000 open manufacturing jobs, and for every 100 open jobs in America, there are only 58 people looking for work. With 4 million people quitting their job in manufacturing in the last 12 months, it’s no wonder that one of manufacturers’ top challenges continues to be the ability to attract and retain a qualified workforce, as noted in the NAM’s Quarterly Manufacturers Outlook Survey.

The cost for attendance is $795 per company to send up to two individuals. To attend The Manufacturing Institute’s recruitment workshop, please register here by March 20. This event is open to a limited audience, so please register your group at your earliest convenience.

Current CDC and local health guidelines will be followed and enforced, and the NAM/MI reserves the right to update health measures and attendance policies based on evolving health threats and guidance from Federal health agencies and local authorities. While we intend for the event to go forward as planned, the event may be impacted by future guidance from Federal and local authorities and protocols will be adjusted as warranted.


Vaccination Recommended

Full vaccination is recommended to attend the meeting, although proof of vaccination will not be required. All NAM/MI staff onsite are fully vaccinated.








Before Leaving Home


  • Follow relevant guidance provided by the CDC (Center for Diseases Control).
  • Adhere to government issued travel restrictions and guidance issued by the region you will be traveling to and the region you are traveling from.
  •  Stay at home if you feel sick and or if anyone in your household is sick.

On-site During the Event


  • Adhere to guidance from local health authorities as implemented and shared by facility hosts.
  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing.
  •  If you experience any cold or flu-like symptoms, please DO NOT attend sessions. Please let the WMA Program host know.

Post-Event

Agree to notify the WMA program host at [email protected] if you test positive for COVID-19 up to 5 days after returning home for contact tracing purposes.
